The content is not the product. You are.

Most bootcamps are good content with bad mentorship. The content gets repackaged into a YouTube playlist three months later. The mentorship is what students remember in three years. We built Cohorte the other way around.

Why this matters more than the curriculum

A student can find a lecture on conformal prediction. They can find a tutorial on building an agent. What they cannot find is someone who has shipped sixty systems telling them, in writing, why the thing they just built will break in month two, and exactly which assumption to fix.

That is the product. The curriculum is the scaffolding. The mentorship is the building.

Maven figured this out. Reforge figured this out. We are figuring it out by writing it down before the first cohort instead of after. This handbook is that writing.

What we are in the business of

Cohorte is in the judgment business, not the tool business. The tools change every quarter. The judgment, knowing what to automate and what to never automate, how to verify an output you cannot fully read, when to ship and when to refuse, does not.

A mentor's job is to transfer that judgment. Not to give answers. To ask the question that makes the student find the answer, and then to hold them to a standard when they do.

What we ask of you

Three things, and they are non-negotiable.

The one line to carry. Students do not remember the slides. They remember the person who looked at their work and told them the truth about it. Be that person, and the bootcamp works. Be anything less, and no curriculum can save it.
